Parking at Tan Son Nhat International Airport is relatively convenient compared with many major Asian airports, although demand can be high due to its location close to the city center. The airport offers dedicated areas for cars and motorbikes, reflecting the fact that motorbikes are the most common form of transport in Vietnam.
Most parking facilities are located directly in front of the terminals, making them suitable for both short stays and longer parking. The main multi-storey parking complex serves passengers departing from both the Domestic Terminal (T1) and the International Terminal (T2).
During peak travel periods (especially early morning and late afternoon), traffic around the airport can be heavy. Arriving at least 20–30 minutes earlier than planned is recommended if you intend to park and walk to the terminal.
Motorbike Parking
Motorbike parking is widely used at Tan Son Nhat Airport since scooters and motorcycles are the most common way locals travel around Ho Chi Minh City. The airport provides large designated areas specifically for motorbikes, mainly located near the domestic terminal area and within the airport parking complex.
These areas are monitored and organized with ticketed entry and exit points. Parking attendants typically guide riders to available spaces.

Always keep the parking ticket safely, as losing it may require identity verification and an additional fee when exiting.

Car Parking
Car parking at Tan Son Nhat Airport is mainly located in the multi-storey parking building directly opposite the domestic terminal and within short walking distance of the international terminal. Covered walkways allow passengers to reach the terminals in just a few minutes.
The facility is suitable for short-term drop-offs, passenger pick-ups, and longer stays. Due to the airport’s high traffic levels, spaces can fill up quickly during holidays such as Tet (Vietnamese New Year).

If you are only dropping off passengers, try to use the short-stay zones near the terminal entrance. This avoids higher charges and keeps traffic flowing smoothly.
Another useful tip is to pay attention to signage for Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Parking areas serve both terminals, but walking times may vary depending on where you park.
